Job Description:

HyRadix, Inc. is a leader in the new and fast moving industry of on-site hydrogen generation for refueling and industrial applications.

There is an immediate opening for a controls engineer that will support the design, fabrication, installation, and customer support of HyRadix’s hydrogen generation units sold around the world.

Accountabilities:
  • Operator interface design and configuration.  This may include HMI screen development, security of data, remote graphics development through internet, and alarm management
  • Enterprise development which includes remote long-term data logging into a centralized database
  • Control panel and remote I/O panel electrical wiring design, which will include schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layout drawings, and BOM generation
  • Electrical power panel design, which will include one-line diagrams, schematics, panel layout drawings, and BOM generation
  • PLC programming support required
  • Assist in the design, selection and integration of instruments for commercial products
  • Support of commercial units while at the fabricator or customer site
  • Assist in the overall design architecture and control schemes for new and existing products
Competencies:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of NEC code
  • Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting of controls, electrical, and instruments at fabrication shop and/or customer site locations
  • Experience creating control panel wiring drawing design packages
  • Experience with ICONICS Genesis 32, SQL database development, and HTML programming a plus
  • Experience with PLC programming using IEC 61131 standards is a plus
  • Certification by ISA to CCST and/or CAP is a plus
  • Experience with processing industry instrument selection, calibration and installation is a plus
  • Knowledge of gas processing industry control logic is a plus
  • Microsoft Visio experience is a plus

Field Services / Start-Up Process Engineer

Job Description:

HyRadix, Inc. is a leader in the new and fast moving industry of on-site hydrogen generation for refueling and industrial applications.

There is an immediate opening for a Field Services / Start-Up Process Engineer. This position reports to the Manager of Field Operations.

Accountabilities:
  • Perform factory acceptance testing of on-site Hydrogen Generation Units prior to shipping
  • Supervise the installation of packaged units at customer sites world-wide
  • Perform commissioning and start-up activities for the units and associated auxiliary equipment (compressors, cooling towers and water treatment systems) at customer sites
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance services as required.
  • Provide customer training in operations and maintenance
  • Collect, analyze and report performance data. Produce routine service and troubleshooting reports
  • Participate in engineering continuous improvement activities
  • Assist with other project engineering functions when not on assignment
  • Contribute to the continued development of operating and service manuals

All work must be performed in a safe manner that is consistent with good field practice and in compliance with company’s safety policies and procedures.

Competencies:
  • Experience in field commissioning and customer service activities
  • Knowledge relevant to hydrogen plant design and operation
  • Good understanding of process equipment and instrumentation. Rotating equipment experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot process equipment including instrumentation and control systems
  • Good written, oral and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel on assignments lasting 2-4 weeks
  • Experience in starting-up and servicing reformer based hydrogen generation plants is a plus
  • Good understanding of PLC equipment and programming is a plus
