Operational Flexibility
HyRadix's® customers benefit from the operational flexibility of our flagship on-site hydrogen generation systems, the Aptus™ and Adéo™ units.
Advantages include:
Feed Stock Flexibility
The robust HyRadix® autothermal reforming technology is well suited for processing a variety of feed stocks ranging from natural gas to heavier liquid hydrocarbons. HyRadix's systems have the ability to process both natural gas and LPG feeds.
HyRadix is extending its proprietary technology to operate from additional liquid feeds through a joint development program with Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP), a world leader in liquid hydrocarbon processing technology. This effort will initially extend our autothermal reforming technology to ethanol and then to other liquid hydrocarbons.
The feed flexibility of the HyRadix process allows the opportunity to select the feed stock that is most available and economic for your particular geographic location.
Unattended Operation
The Aptus™ and Adéo™ units operate unattended with a fully automated push button start. Seamless integration with existing facilities also ensures the hydrogen production rate is automatically controlled to follow the requirements of downstream processes. Both features ensure a transparency of operation with no requirement for operator input.
Process Responsiveness
The start-up time for HyRadix's systems is as little as 3 hours for a cold start and under 2 hours for a warm restart. Therefore, the Aptus unit is well suited for industrial applications that do not always operate around the clock, 365 days per year. For example, the unit can be shut down on Friday afternoon and restarted early Monday morning in time to meet production requirements.
In addition, HyRadix systems have process turndown capability to as low as 25% of the design hydrogen output. This offers tremendous flexibility to match the hydrogen production rate to your process requirements as they vary through the course of the year. And, HyRadix systems also have the capability to increase the hydrogen output from 25% to 100% in approximately 35 minutes. As a result, the Aptus and Adéo units can adjust rapidly to the changing hydrogen demand patterns of the end use application.
Remote Monitoring
The software in the Aptus and Adéo units is designed to allow performance monitoring from your remote site as well as at HyRadix's corporate headquarters. With this capability, HyRadix personnel can monitor the performance of your unit to ensure optimal operation.
